Nigeria's General Elections is 26 weeks away - 16th February, 2019 precisely;
Have you gotten your PVC?
Getting a PVC in preparation for the forthcoming election is supposed to end on the 17th August, 2018 but has been extended for another two weeks and would be ending on the 31st August, 2018
In case you have no idea, PVC means Permanent Voters Card.
To have a voice that matters in the forthcoming election, you will definitely be needing your pvc in order to choose your preferred candidate.
If you don’t have one, here’s how to get your PVC.
1. As long as you are Nigerian who has attained the required age for voting which is 18. Go to a nearest Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) Local Government Area( LGA) with a valid means of identification be it a National Passport, Birth Certificate or a Driver’s License .
From what I gathered, the exercise runs through Monday- Friday (9:00am - 3:00pm)
2. After the registration process is complete, INEC will issue you a Temporary Voter’s Card (TVC) till the permanent one is ready.
3. When the Permanent Voters Card is ready, you will have to use the TVC to collect it at your nearest INEC LGA Office. You can verify your PVC Status by checking the “ Voter Register Verification Platform” on the INEC Website.
It’s important to note that getting your PVC is not enough. Participating actively and educating oneself to make a well-informed decision and vote for who represents your interests to occupy all important positions across the board.
IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE - GET YOUR PVC TODAY!!
Let your Voice be heard !!!!!
