This is a service that allows members to engage in trading activities that involves swapping/exchanging one or more item for the other. Basically, members can trade what they have for something they need without having to sell or buy anything. Members can trade items such as mobile phones, laptops, concert tickets, books, clothes etc.
You can put anything up for trade, we will find someone willing to trade you for it.
How to use:

Login if you are already a member or sign up

Send us a message stating the items that you have up for trade, be sure to provide detailed description of item and specify the condition, include pictures of trade item

If you are looking to trade for a specific item, for instance if you want to trade your Nokia phone for a Samsung, post this along with the item. If you just want to find out what people have to offer, indicate that you are opened to offers.

Once your post is up, interested members will contact you with offers which you can deny or accept accordingly

You can also negotiate till you reach acceptable terms, you can trade one item for two or three depending on the worth placed on the item.

If you accept, you can post items by mail to each other or; arrange a meet up amongst each other or; opt to use our in-store service which you would have to pay for

In store service involves members either bringing/posting the items to our office where a member of staff will inspect and check if the conditions described are accurate before the trade occurs

Members can pay a visit to the store with the items they wish to trade for a face to face trade under staff supervision

Members can mail the items to our office where it is inspected and sent to respective receivers

How it works

Any item can be traded for another provided there is someone in need of it and an agreement can be made.
Let’s say you need an iPhone 7, simply search through the shop or contact us directly swapshop@studenthubng.com, lets say you find someone willing to trade an iPhone 7 for a laptop you have, simply contact the person/us directly to start the trade. However if you find an item you want but you do not have what the person wants, you have two options:

1. Search through the shop to find someone that has what the trade requires, offer him what you have and the trade that for what you wanted initially. Too complicated?
​
2. Contact us directly at swapshop@studenthubng.com and we will find you what you want and facilitate the trade.

Shop rules
1. Item condition must be clearly and accurately stated. Trading items with false statements will result in a lifetime ban
2. For safety reasons if you are setting up a meeting point, always copy us in the correspondence and inform a friend or family before meeting up with anyone or simply opt for our in-store service by posting the item to us to make the trade on your behalf.

3. There is a strict no cash policy; exchanging items for money is strictly prohibited on this platform. If you would rather sell your stuff, kindly use our student store.

Disclaimer: It should be noted that Studenthubng has no influence on the trade between members, we simply provide a platform for this to take place, we therefore accept no responsibilities for any issues or claims that might occur with any trade.

Service Delivery
There will be a shop service whereby customers can come in or send in items to be inspected by a third party before trade, this is for;

customers who would rather stay anonymous or not willing to disclose their personal address,

customers wishing to eliminate the risk of getting faulty or damaged item
​​
arrangements can be made to come into the store to make the exchange or arrange to have the item delivered to the store for trade. We simply examine the item and inform the respective party of the exact conditions.
