PhurahBookCafe is looking for a self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, confident and tech-savvy cafe manager. 

​

Job Description

​

We are looking to recruit a cafe manager on a two month training basis, you will officially resume full duties as the manger after successful completion of the training.

​

As the Café Manager, you will oversee daily operations of the café, which sells food and drinks to customers as well as the bookshop which sells books to customers. You will plan menus, work with vendors, liaise with customers, set up meetings and liaise with potential clients, manage and train employees working under you.

​

Requirements

​

You should

• have social media advertising skills, knowledge/experience

• have a keen interest in cooking and food related activities 

• have excellent customer service skills to meet and address customers’ requests, demands and concerns

• be skilled in both management and administration in order to lead a team, allocate resources and make intelligent decisions about the best strategies for running the cafe

• have basic knowledge of mathematics, accounting and payroll, in order to maintain the café’s books and handle payroll

• have good time management and organizational skills to handle a multitude of tasks efficiently and be able to prioritize

• have the ability to negotiate with vendors for lower prices or better service

• an excellent understanding of social media platforms, including their respective strengths and demographics (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.)

• be creative and analytical

• have excellent marketing skills

Responsibilities

​

As a cafe manager, you'll need to:

• manage and train personnel as required

• manage inventory and make necessary arrangements to ensure that the cafe is well stocked always

• manage social media accounts to generate brand awareness

• prepare payroll

• provide excellent customer service

• visit prospective clients to generate sales

• negotiate with vendors for lower prices and better services

What we offer:

Pay ranges from N30,000 to N80,000 Monthly
