Know your limits
Living a boundless life is more of a hassle than it seems. You may think you’re having the time of your life, being free and your motto might as well be YOLO (You Only Live Once). However, what you don’t realize until it is too late is that you waste more time being carefree and absolutely spontaneous than when you actually make plans and work towards them.
The intent of this post isn’t to derail you from living your best life or make you feel lackluster, it is to bring to your awareness, the need for certain boundaries and limits when it comes to your lifestyle choices. The decision to live in a specific way or adapt a particular lifestyle, is overridden by the necessity created by those choices.
Regardless of how you decide to live each day, you must know your limits. These limits should be all encompassing, they must stretch across all aspects of your lifestyle. There must be limits to your associations and engagements, limits to the way you spend, the things you do and say.
These limits help you create a safe zone of possibilities and allowances that will curb all unnecessary actions and possible corrective measures. Creating limits is like having insurance, whereby you know that no matter what happens, you will be fine as long as you stick to the boundaries you have created.
Limits are not created to constrain your abilities, they are created to help you explore all possibilities while ensuring that you don’t suffer a loss of property or time that may be spent rectifying or making amendments. So, to ensure appropriate time management from hereon, KNOW YOUR LIMITS!
