A Fashion Illustrator will allow you to combine aspects of fashion design and art. Specialized Illustrators focus on expressing fashion ideas and designs through art.
Role of a Fashion Illustrator
. A Fashion Illustrator are usually the first things that fashion stylists and fashion buyers look at in order to make decisions for their clients.
. Convey Fashion designs through an illustration based on your designs, ideas and concepts
. Bringing the vision of the Fashion designers or creators to life through the illustration
. Clear understanding of both Fashion design and Art
. Utilizing realistic representations or more abstract/theoretical sketches
. Keeping up an open communication with the Fashion designers or creators, art directors and buyers
. Outline drawings using different mediums including charcoals, brochures, flyers
. Selecting the appropriate colour, animation that will run well with the existing fashion concept or idea
. Creating fashion illustrators that can be used in promoting and marketing.
. Core Knowledge in Graphic designing; how to use illustrating software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and 3-D.
