Job Duties/Responsibilities
. History Teachers educate Students about various eras and different historical trends
. To fulfill a variety of duties which ranges from teaching students to extracurricular activities
. Prepare and deliver lectures to students on historical backdrop of various events around the world
. Select and obtain materials such as History Textbooks, World Map...
. To exhibit a genuine interest in History and concern for students and an ability to pass on the love for History in a proper classroom setting
. To create a respectful classroom environments in such a way that students are able to express their intellectual thoughts using innovative teaching methods
. Creating an explanatory lesson plan or notes that encourages students excel in History
. To provide students with adequate information of recorded historical events and social science at Senior Secondary School
. To incorporate Geography, Government as well as music and art in a history class
. Undertaking Assessment and Evaluation of Students which empowers you to give a written/verbal feedback
Competencies
A Bachelors degree in Arts or Education (History), HND
Good Communication Skills
Self informed of the latest development/ current events in the Historical field
Creativity and being a good Storyteller
